Apex 2 HeroWear - Passive Exoskeletons

Passive exoskeleton supporting the back (especially the lumbar spine), reducing the need to use maximum muscle forces, reducing the risk of back pain, strains and overuse injuries.

The new lighter Apex2 design (1.2 kg) is functional and effective, supporting the user's back and maintaining their strength to reduce the risk of injuries and strains. All without motors and batteries.

Apex2 uses passive-elastic bands that work in synergy with the main muscle groups responsible for lifting and bending. The exoskeleton design also takes advantage of the extended moment arm to reduce the total forces in the system, meaning that the same activity can be performed with less total force.

RESULTS
