- Stroke (cerebral hemorrhage, ischemic damage)
- Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
- Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
- brain tumor
- Parkinson’s disease
- chronic diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Cerebral Palsy (CP)
- diseases of the motor neurons such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
- muscle dystrophies
- paralysis caused by a hernia of the intervertebral disc
- orthopedic injuries (injuries resulting from hand surgery)
- musculoskeletal disorders resulting in limited range of movement, deconditioning, lack of coordinaton
- involution of nervous and musculoskeletal system due to ageing
